Important Info

A unique afternoon tea experience set within a charming original Victorian kitchen. The historic range and gleaming copper cookware create a truly special atmosphere. Dating from 1802, the kitchen opens into one of the Palace’s inner courtyards and features its original copper pots and pans, traditionally known as the “batterie de cuisine” — the kitchen artillery.

Enjoy a delightful selection of traditional finger sandwiches and savoury bites, followed by beautifully crafted sweet treats prepared by the Palace’s own in-house baker. Sip on freshly brewed tea or coffee, or add a little sparkle to the occasion with a glass of fizz — Mum deserves it, after all.

Complete your visit with a leisurely stroll around the Palace’s beautiful 100-acre historic gardens, including the much-loved Walled Garden.
