Celebrate Scottish gardening with top nurseries, garden centres, makers, and societies showcased on the beautiful lawns of historic Scone Palace. Enjoy expert talks, including appearances by the Beechgrove Garden team, and get inspired by the return of the Scottish Garden Design Competition.
New for 2025: a special focus on inspiring young gardeners! Children under 16 enjoy free entry, making it a perfect family day out to reconnect with nature.

As Scotland's National Garden Show, we are on a mission to:

5. Create a home for the Scottish gardening community, an event which we can gather, compete, and celebrate.
Scottish Garden Design Competition
The Scottish Garden Design Competition showcases the best of Scottish garden design and landscaping. This year gardeners have been set the challenge of creating a garden that embodies the theme of 'Hope'.
This year there are two competition categories, Small Space Gardens and Showcase Gardens, both being judged by a panel of expert judges as well as visitors getting the chance to have their say for the winner of the 'People's Choice Award 2025'

Kids Zone
We want to encourage kids to be a part of the gardening community and reconnect with nature. Once again there will be a dedicated Kids Zone with fun garden activities including hands on garden crafts from the RHS Community Outreach team.

Scone Palace Gardens
Access to the vast gardens and grounds surrounding Scone Palace is included in the price of your ticket so do take the chance to go for a woodland walk and visit the giant conifers in the Victorian Pinetum, tour the Kitchen Garden, enjoy the recently opened Walled Garden or get lost in our Murray Star Maze. You can also pre-purchase an upgrade ticket to explore inside the Palace too.
