This walk is part of the wider Memorial Walk around Scone Village which identifies the names and life stories of the 72 men who fell in the Great War. Eleven service men were working as foresters and gardeners on Scone Estate in 1914, and each is honoured with an oak tree and a plaque for each of the 11 men which tells their life stories.

This project was funded by Scone Palace and the trees were donated by the Woodland Trust Scotland.
